Casa Linda Lights neighborhood fundraising event coming Dec 10th & 11th

Mark your calendars for a great event for a great cause. During the evenings of Saturday, December 10th & Sunday, December 11th, the annual Casa Linda Lights neighborhood holiday fundraising event in the Casa Linda Estates will begin for you and your loved ones to drive through the streets of Casa Linda Estates and enjoy the lights and holiday while supporting a great cause.

Every year, this event brings people together for a great local cause to show thanks and appreciation to local first responders. This year, the money raised during Casa Linda Lights will go in support of the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas.

The Guns and Hoses Foundation honors and supports fallen firefighters and police officers by helping their family members they have left behind.

First responders will be stationed throughout the neighborhood to collect donations. Be sure to greet them with a smile, a “thank you”, and a donation to show respect and gratitude for all the Police Officers and Firefighters lost in the line of duty, as well as Jeff Patterson and his family.

The first event in December of 2014 was in support of East Dallas resident and firefighter, Jeff Patterson, and his family. Jeff was injured in a house fire and suffered third degree burns on approximately 45% of his body. He spent 110 days in ICU and had to go through 23 surgeries.

If you are interested in helping during this event, there are still opportunities to help set out luminaries on December 6th, making hot chocolate for volunteers, or perhaps contacting local businesses to see if they would like to sponsor homes.

For more information on this event, visit the official Casa Linda Estates website. If you can’t make the event or prefer to donate online, you can do so here.
