Saturday, May 14th – Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up

It’s that time again! On Saturday, May 14th the For the Love of the Lake (FTLOTL) organization will be holdings its monthly Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up event at White Rock Lake. Come out, enjoy the fine weather, and help make White Rock Lake and its surrounds more beautiful for everyone!

A continental breakfast (Starbucks coffee, chocolate milk, orange juice, and treats from Another Broken Egg Cafe and Nothing Bundt Cakes), bottled water, and all clean-up supplies (including trash/recycling sacks and latex gloves) are provided. If you participate in two consecutive months, you get a t-shirt!

Volunteers should meet at the FTLOTL office at 1152 N. Buckner Blvd. (Casa Linda Plaza, at intersection of Buckner Blvd. and Garland Rd.) between 8-9am for registration and breakfast. Clean up will last from roughly 9 to 11. For more details, visit the event website here.

As of this month, April 2016, the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up has been going for 20 YEARS without missing a month!!!! Please come out and be a part of this wonderful tradition in our community. Newcomers are always, ALWAYS welcome!
